What is Qigong?

This section is intended to give you background information and comments on the subjects we teach at Living Stillness. Here you will find a shortened version of the upcoming database, with sections for traditional qigong, traditional meditation, traditional Tai Chi and Internal Martial Arts, energy-training, and several other subjects that touch these. In other sections on the site you can find information about what to look for when you´re looking for a skilled teacher, and how to practice energy practices safely.

You could write books about each of these subjects (as has been done, many) but the intention here is to give you a firmer, more solid foundation to stand on, and a more stable stepping stone if you want to practice these arts or look for more in-depth knowledge about them. The full database will be active sometime in the future, and will deal with these subjects at an even more specific depth, but the pages available now should give you tools enough to understand the basics of each. They have all been written specifically for the Web, and are geared towards giving a clear, simple understanding even if you don´t know much of the subject to begin with.

Welcome.
