Welcome to Living Stillness┬┤ database. This project is, to the best of our knowledge, unique on the Web. As it grows, it will be an in-depth, piece-by-piece exploration of traditional qigong, traditional meditation, Tai Chi and the Internal Arts, as well as stress-management and how to practice and heal as safely and effectively as possible. Part of the database will also be dozens of pieces each on these subjects, and advice on how you practice them, layer them, and ultimately make your life more vibrant, alive, and balanced through them.

The database will grow slowly, and as it grows, many of the texts will first be available in the section What is qigong. You will also be able to find the occasional Sneak Preview here, and if you want to have an overview of the contents of the database you can look at them under Content Tree.

In our Articles-section you can already find a dozen articles written by Daniel Skyle and published over the last fifteen years, and you will be able to get advice on how to find skilled teachers in a whole separate section of its own - Advice on finding skilled teachers, as well as a whole separate section on energy-injuries, that is when qigong, meditation, energy-training or just stress-management goes wrong, is taught badly or practiced badly, and the symptoms and solutions you can find on this.

The advice will be practical, pragmatic, and down-to-earth, which the really old traditions tend to be as you get closer to their original source and find teachers of really high quality.

Our aim with the database is to keep the old traditions alive, alive in their old, complete version, and to try and avoid their watering out even more. We hope you find the information on this site useful to your life and your training.

Welcome to Living Stillness.
